On Saturday, Gio Reyna made his first appearance for the US team since the well-known dispute between Berhalter and his family. Matt Turner made his 10th appearance of the year, leading the team in appearances for 2023. Folarin Balogun started for the fifth time since officially committing to the national team, and Tim Ream became the fourth player in the modern era of the program (1990-present) to earn a cap at the age of 36, joining Fernando Clavijo, Thomas Dooley, and Preki.

Cameron Carter-Vickers made his first appearance for the senior team since the World Cup, replacing Chris Richards in the second half on Saturday. Lennard Maloney is the only player selected for this international window who has not yet earned an international cap.
