According to reports from MailOnline, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has extended their agreement to broadcast live FA Cup matches until 2029.

ITV, a rival sports broadcaster, will no longer have access to FA Cup matches as TNT Sports will take over starting from the 2025-26 season.

The BBC has been the traditional home of the FA Cup, making this news a welcome development for fans who may not have a TNT Sports subscription.

TNT Sports secured the rights for the FA Cup with a payment of over £260m in a four-year deal, becoming the primary broadcaster.

The BBC has secured the rights alongside TNT Sports, previously known as BT Sport.

Under the new agreement, the BBC will broadcast two matches from each round of the FA Cup up to the quarter-finals, as well as one of the semi-finals and the final, in addition to continuing the Match of the Day highlights programme.
