Sunny Singh Gill set to make Premier League refereeing history.

Sunny Singh Gill is poised to create history in the Premier League this weekend as Crystal Palace takes on Luton Town at home.

Hailing from a family of football referees, Sunny’s father Jarnail made history as the sole English Football League referee to wear a turban during a match.

Jarnail officiated 150 matches from 2004 to 2010, passing on his passion to his sons. Sunny’s brother, Bhupinder, also left his mark on football history by becoming the first Sikh-Punjabi assistant referee in a Premier League match during Southampton vs Forest in January 2023.

This weekend, as Crystal Palace hosts Luton Town at Selhurst Park, Sunny Singh Gill will further solidify the family’s legacy in football refereeing.

He will be the first British-South Asian to referee a Premier League match, adding another milestone to the impressive Singh-Gill family history.

Don’t miss Sunny Singh Gill’s historic moment at 3PM on Saturday, March 9th, as Crystal Palace takes on Luton Town!
