West Ham United have made their move for Danny Ings as David Moyes finally hopes to snap up the Aston Villa striker this month.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that West Ham have made an offer for Ings and he is valued at around £15million by Villa.
Sky Sports even claim that talks over a move for Ings to join West Ham are now ‘advanced’.
West Ham hope to convince Villa to sell this month and give Moyes a new goalscoring threat to support summer signing Gianluca Scamacca.
Some will remember that Moyes actually wanted to sign Ings many, many years.
Moyes suggested that he would like to sign Ings but wasn’t sure if Sociedad would be able to afford him.
That was some eight years ago but Moyes clearly still fancies Ings and West Ham are now making their move.
Ings, 30, has turned out 48 times for Villa since joining from Southampton in 2021, notching 13 goals in 48 appearances.
Hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Villa teammate Matty Cash, the time may be right for Ings to move on and West Ham appear to have real hope of a deal.
