Manchester United target Victor Osimhen broke a Serie A record previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo over the weekend.
Osimhen has scored 16 times in 17 Serie A appearances this season for the league leaders, who are now 13 points clear at the top of the table.
Osimhen bagged a brace in the contest and his second goal surpassed a feat Ronaldo achieved while at Juventus.
United will be searching for a marquee goal-getter in the summer and could decide to plump for Osimhen as their long-term striker.
The Reds are open to offloading Anthony Martial, who will miss his 21st game of the season through injury when United take on Leeds on Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of the match, Ten Hag said: “He [Martial] is not always available, but also I see the other side when he is available.
“I think Anthony Martial is the player who has spent the most hours at Carrington this season, to return to recover, to get back, it is really so a pity for him that he is disappointed.
Ten Hag is thought to want a more reliable asset to lead the line going forward in his rebuild project and is expected to make a move for either Osimhen or Kane at the end of the season.
