On the 11 of May,1992 in the city of Bree in Flanders, the Northern part of Belgium. Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois was born to a Walloon father by name Theirry Courtois and a Flemish mother by name Gitte Courtois. Thibaut has a sibling sister, Valerie Courtois. Thibaut has a height of 2m.
Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois is a professional footballer who’s career began from a local team called Bilzen V.V before moving to the youth academy of Racing Genk. He was initially a left back who was ask to be the safe per of hands for his local team in a competition. Thibaut ended the competition as the best goal keeper and a scout from KRC-Genk spotted him and sent him to the youth team.
In 2007/2008 season, Thibaut was promoted from the youth academy to The under-17 of KRC-GENK. He performed well and was moved to the under-19 of KRC-GENK. Courtois had an exceptional exploit with the youth teams and was finally promoted to the senior side of KRC-GENK FC in the 2009/2010 season in July 1,2009.
Chelsea FC expressed their interest in Courtois and went to purchase him for an amount of €8.95m on July 26,2011. In that same season, He was transferred on a loan fee of €1.20m to Atlético Madrid in the Spanish la-Liga. Thibaut Courtois joined his parent club, Chelsea FC after going to serving his loan deal in the 2013/2014 season. After a successful five years stay at Chelsea FC, Thibaut proved to the world about his good reflexes and acrobatic saves.
Thibaut Courtois got several offers in the 2017/18 summer transfers and he decided to join Real Madrid in the Spanish league on a transfer fee of €35m in August, 2018.
