After a disappointing season for Liverpool, it looks like manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to oversee a huge overhaul of his squad this summer.
A number of players’ contracts will come to an end in June with Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all almost certain to depart.
Klopp is reported however to have requested another extension to James Milner’s contract at Anfield with the 37-year-old’s current deal also coming to an end this summer.
According to Football Insider, another three players have been put up for sale as Liverpool tries to raise funds for the overhaul of their squad.

The outlet claims that with the Anfield hierarchy trying to free up space on the wage bill, Caoimhin Kelleher, Joel Matip, and Nathaniel Phillips have all been put up for sale.
In the case of Kelleher and Phillips, both players will go in the search of more game time whilst Matip’s form has dipped and the club still have time to cash in on the defender before his contract expires in 2024.
It looks highly likely that all of these players could be moved on at the end of the season, possibly with the exception of Milner.
That leaves the club with plenty of work to do with the whole spine of the squad in need of reinforcing as Klopp tries to put Liverpool back at the summit of both the domestic and European games.
