Milan has taken the first step to secure the long-term future of French goalkeeper Mike Maignan, already starting negotiations with the goalkeeper’s agents to try to agree as soon as possible on an extension of his commitment until June 30, 2028.
According to Italian press reports, the proposed new deal would include a salary of around six million euros net per year for Maignan, compared to the almost three million he currently receives, with this salary improvement reflecting the goalkeeper’s solid and consistent performance since his arrival at Milan, where he has become one of the best goalkeepers in Calcio, as well as a key piece for the Rossonero team.
All in order
Mike Maignan has become a fundamental piece in Milan’s goal, providing outstanding performances and helping the team compete in Serie A and in European competitions, with his renewal being a practically obligatory move on the part of AC Milan in their quest to maintain his best men, in the process keeping away those European giants who could be interested in the former PSG footballer, who in his time at San Siro has played 73 games in which he has conceded 66 goals, leaving his goal unbeaten on 31 occasions.
