Real Madrid might offer 28-year-old French defender Ferland Mendy in the deal to sign Kylian Mbappe, formerly a target for Manchester United.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Ferland Mendy might enter the operation to sign Kylian Mbappe.
And the 28-year-old left-back might not be averse to joining Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will not compete with Real Madrid for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world, even though he might not have the trophies to prove it this season.
The 24-year-old almost singlehandedly helped France win back-to-back World Cups, scoring a hat-trick in the final.
But Mbappe’s PSG future is non-existent following his confirmation that he would not sign a new deal with them.
And such a situation has captured the attention of several top clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.
It seemed Real Madrid would not launch the offensive for the World Cup winner again after he snubbed them last year.
But the latest update suggests Real Madrid might look to include Ferland Mendy in the deal to secure Mbappe’s services.
And the 28-year-old left-back might be open to joining PSG.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old has also been on Manchester United’s radar.
But a report by The Athletic has revealed Manchester United will not pursue Mbappe this summer.
So Real Madrid should have a clear run at the French international this summer.
So it will be interesting to see if Los Blancos can secure Mbappe’s services in a part-exchange deal.
