The former Manchester United midfielder hasn’t played a single minute for the Serie A giants since re-signing for them last summer after struggling with a knee problem since pre-season.
He was only supposed to miss a couple of months of action, but ended up extending his recovery time by refusing surgery for fear of missing the World Cup. However, after realising he wasn’t going to be fit for the tournament, Pogba opted to get surgery, leaving club officials seething.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are furious after investing over £31m to bring Pogba back to the club, with the player signing a deal worth over £7m-per-season plus bonuses across four years, only to see him put his own needs before the club’s.
By contrast, Pogba’s first spell at Juventus was rosy, with the midfielder helping fire the club to four consecutive Serie A titles, though his six-year stint at United was a bit of a mixed bag.
Pogba could well end up moving to America to play in the MLS if his deal with Juventus is scrapped.
