Christopher Nkunku has joined Chelsea in a deal worth £52 million, with the Frenchman signing a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have made an official statement to confirm that they have secured the services of Christopher Nkunku.
The French international has signed a six-year contract running until June 30, 2029.
And the Blues are shelling out £52 million to sign the versatile attacker from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
Christopher Nkunku has become a highly sought-after figure in the market since joining RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.
And his incredible output at the Bundesliga club vindicated his decision to move abroad.
The French international amassed 70 goals and 56 assists in 172 appearances for RB Leipzig.
But Nkunku’s stint with Leipzig has ended as he has joined Chelsea.
Nkunku said, “I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea.
A big effort was made to bring me to the club and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and teammates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch.”
According to the ever-reliable BBC, Chelsea will pay £52 million to RB Leipzig to sign the Frenchman.
And the 25-year-old, who set the Bundesliga ablaze with his performances has penned a six-year contract.
The deal will run until June 30, 2023.
It will be interesting to see if the West London club can create a formidable squad to help Mauricio Pochettino challenge on all fronts following the arrival of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
