SSC Napoli ensured their place at the top of the Serie A table for the seventh match week running, as Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia inspired Gli Azzurri to a comfortable 4-0 victory over 10-man US Sassuolo.
With an unbeaten Serie A record to also protect though, his faith in his squad to fight on all fronts was duly rewarded with two goals in the opening 20 minutes.
Victor Osimhen was responsible for both, having the easy job of tapping in inside the six yard box twice after smart set-ups by Kvaratskhelia.
Sassuolo displayed their threat despite the game being beyond them, with Davide Frattesi twice denied from close range by Alex Meret after the Azzurri defence was unusually carved open.
To rub it in against their wasteful opponents, Osimhen completed his first ever Serie A hat trick by chipping over Consigli after the keeper came off his line 10 minutes from time.
Armand Laurienté saw red after picking up a second booking in the dying minutes to make matters worse for Sassuolo, rounding off a sour afternoon for the travelling side.
