Manchester United are set to have Harry Maguire and Antony back for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United (kick-off 4:30pm).
Maguire missed the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Leicester City last weekend because of slight knock, while Antony has missed the last four matches with a leg injury.4
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa League second leg play-off decider against Barcelona, Erik ten Hag revealed both players could be involved.
“There’s still a training [session] to go but I expect Harry Maguire and Antony Dos Santos [will be] available,” ten Hag said.
Anthony Martial, however, is doubtful for the Wembley final after ten Hag ruled him out of featuring against the Spanish giants at Old Trafford.
“Anthony Martial is not available,” ten Hag added.
Asked about Barcelona and the cup final clash with Newcastle, the Dutch boss said: “We have the opportunity [to win one on Sunday], but the first focus point is always the next game and in that league [Europa League], we can’t win a trophy this week.
When you are facing such big teams as Barcelona, you have to play your best, otherwise you don’t have a chance.
“We want to get through, to get to the next round and we have to give the best performance from this season.
