Jack Grealish and Phil Foden on the left have never been known for their lightening speed hence why at times in their career they have played in a more central position whilst Riyad Mahrez on the right has also never been renowned for being one of the quickest wingers in the league.
Bernardo Silva and Julian Alvarez can also play out wide but their better positions are centrally.
So Manchester City are looking at AC Milan’s Rafael Leao to help that issue next season so Pep Guardiola can have an explosive winger back at his disposal again as according to The Daily Mail they have been closely monitoring the Portuguese international.
Leao’s contract is up in 2024 with the Serie A Champions struggling to come to an agreement with the winger on a renewal so they may look to cash in at the end of this season like Leicester City with James Maddison.
He has been at AC Milan since 2019 after he joined from Lille and he was one of the key reasons why the Italian giants won the Scudetto last season as he got 21 goal contributions in 34 league appearances.
