The Algerian flies to Saudi Arabia after five years: a total sum of around 30 million pounds for the Citizens.
June 10th is far away now: Manchester City’s “Treble” is a historic fact, and this is well known. For Riyad Mahrez it was also the last act of his Citizens adventure.
After five years, the Algerian leaves the formation of Pep Guardiola, who had bought him in 2018 from Leicester: he will be remembered forever as one of the main protagonists of the 2016 Premier League victory of the Foxes.
Mahrez flies to Saudi Arabia: he is officially a new player of Al-Ahli, who announced his purchase through social channels.
MAHREZ TO AL-AHLI: THE CONTRACT
Al-Ahli bought Mahrez (who turned 32 in February) for around £30m.
The Algerian has signed a four-year contract (until 2027): he joins players like Roberto Firmino and Edouard Mendy.
