Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo has admitted that he hopes Thomas Tuchel is the man to help him win the Champions League, and knock out his parent club.
Bayern Munich have acted in quite sensational fashion this week, with reliable reports highlighting the imminent sacking of current head coach Julian Nagelsmann with immediate effect.

Cancelo continued by welcoming the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as his next coach, stating that he hopes the German manager will be the man to win him his first Champions League title and, in the process, knock out his parent club Manchester City.
“As for (Thomas) Tuchel, he made me lose a Champions League final, so I hope he will win it for me this year,” admitted Joao Cancelo.
The 28 year-old is currently on-loan from Manchester City at Bayern Munich, having left the Etihad Stadium on a six-month loan deal in January, with the German giants holding an option buy to the Portugal international – understood to be set at €70 million.
City sources confirmed in the aftermath of the UEFA Champions League – confirming the tie with Bayern Munich – that Cancelo would be eligible to face his parent club in the competition, with no clause preventing that possibility inserted in to the agreement reached in January.
