Liverpool and Chelsea face off this weekend in a battle of the two most out-of-form sides in the Premier League.
Liverpool has won three out of their last five league games, while Chelsea has won one game less.
Despite the Stamford Bridge side seemingly having an infinite transfer budget this January and signing everyone they can find, they do have injury issues going into the game at Anfield, and they will be without some key players which will be a huge blow ahead of facing Jürgen Klopp’s men.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter confirmed in his press conference that both Reece James and Ben Chilwell will be absent from the Liverpool game despite returning to training this week.
Furthermore, João Félix is suspended, having been sent off against Fulham on his debut.
Potter is still without long-term casualties Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana, Armando Broja, Denis Zakaria, Christian Pulisic and Edouard Mendy, all of whom could return to action in the next six weeks.
N’Golo Kanté trained individually this week but has been out for around four months.
And new Chelsea signing Mykhailo Mudryk, purchased for $108m (£88m/€100m), could feature against Liverpool, but hasn’t kicked a ball in a competitive setting since November.
