His contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2024.
With just over a year left on his contract, the club have tried renewing it but they have failed to meet the demands of the 24-year-old.
Mount wants pay parity with some of the highest earners of the club but the Blues are not keen on paying him those big wages.
And, people close to Mount believe that the England international is not valued high enough at the club.
