Andreas Pereira has proved a lot of people wrong this season with his performances at Fulham, and Chelsea look to be one of the club’s who’ve taken big notice of his improvement.
Pereira left United to prove himself, and he’s definitely done that this season.
So much so that Manchester United may be regretting letting him go considering their midfield problems as of late.
With Mason Mount set to leave Chelsea, Pereira has been identified as a possible replacement.
According to Rob Dawson from ESPN, Andreas Peirera has been looked at by Chelsea as a possible Mason Mount replacement.
Mount and Chelsea have failed to come to an agreement over a new contract, and there is serious chances he could leave the club this summer.
Chelsea of course want to sign a replacement in the event of that happening, and Pereira has been a revelation for a Fulham team who are doing great things in the league this season.
The Brazilian is happy at Fulham, but would find it difficult to turn down the prospect of playing at the highest level for a top six team again.
Manchester United are unlikely to intervene and try and bring Pereira back to the club, so Chelsea are likely to have a free run at signing him.
Fulham do not want to lose Pereira, but would likely sell him if the right fee came through the door from Chelsea.
A surprising story, but one to keep an eye on.
