Boris Junior Mandjui, goalkeeper for Medeama SC, has joined Congolese giants TP Mazembe for an unknown fee, according to GHANAsoccernet.com.
The 26-year-old Cote d’Ivoire native joined the Yellow Mauves in September 2021, replacing Eric Ofori Antwi and Frank Boateng, who both departed the club at the end of the 2020-21 season.
The Ivorian shot-stopper made a name for himself with his exploits before suffering a major injury that forced him to miss the rest of the 2021-22 season.
Before his injury, Mandjui played 16 games, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding only six goals while earning four man of the match accolades.
He is now in DR Congo awaiting the results of his medical check, which is scheduled to take place in the following days.
He had played for Association Sportive de L’Indénié in Abidjan before entering the Ghana Premier League and signing for the Tarkwa-based team.
The former ASEC Mimosas goalkeeper has previously played for Ivorian clubs Williamsville AC, Salitas FC, and USFA Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
