Joao Cancelo left Manchester City in January on deadline day to join Bayern Munich which was very out of the blue as he had been quite an important player in the past couple of years making the left-back role his after it became a problem position for Pep Guardiola.
However news broke that he had reportedly been involved in a training ground bust-up with his manager which led to his exit as Guardiola did want any attitude issues within his squad.
Since then he has frequently used Nathan Ake as a left-back or on the left of a back three to make up for losing Cancelo which has gone well so far.
Cancelo had started well under Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich but it has quickly went sour with the Portuguese international not being trusted in the big Champions League matches against PSG.
He was taken off after 45 minutes in the first leg and then he started the second leg on the bench with Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanisic being preferred to him.
So due to this Bayern Munich reportedly have no intention of buying Cancelo at the end of the season for the price that was put in his loan deal which was 70 million euros.
The German Champions may attempt to negotiate the price to get him for cheaper but if he is not starting consistently then it is unlikely that he will join permanently.
